In Backseat Racer, you are NOT behind the wheel - you must call out directions for your driver Sammy to follow.  Sammy will drive for you and follow your instruction for each twist and turn's direction and intensity. Give too many incorrect call outs and he may crash...

This game was inspired by the Game Maker's Toolkit Jam (https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2018) game jam theme "GENRE, but you can’t MECHANIC". In this case, it is a driving game where you cannot drive.
